Do you think Surf is difficult to access for kids living in town ?

I think its depend where you live, if you live in a big city but close to the beach like Sydney or lisbonne, or Bordeaux…its easy to going surf and spend time on the beach…but if you live in town far from the ocean it is more difficult to surf, for example:  is not easy to be 6 hours away to surf only 3 hours at the weekend

Did you have to move from your hometown to live in a more Surf-friendly area?

I'm from reunion island and I moved to france two years ago when I finished high school , because it is easier to travel from france than reunion.. and is better for sponsors…

What kind of waves do you like to surf ?

I like to surf in warm water and reef break like reunion island, mentawaii, bali…wake up take my boardshort, my board and go surf.

If you have to describe which style of surfing you are into, what would you say?

To describe my surf,I like to try some air. i think my surf is explosive and fast but I miss some power sometimes in my surf

Is it still possible to find new surf spots on the planet nowadays?

For sure is possible to find some new surf spot around the world some island like Indonesia, Micronesia and many more country still so many small islands to discover and find some perfect waves…

Who are the most relevant Surfers Legends of all-time?

The most relevant surf legend are mark Richard, tom curren, tom carrol, rabbit Bartholomew, and nowadays the legends are Kelly slater, andy irons, mick fanning

Have you ever broken a board because you were angry, after loosing at a contest or whatever?

When I was young after loosing contest i punched my board ,i hate losing i'm a bad loser, I never broke a board in two but I punched her and damaged her bad…

What’s your opinion about global warming, climate catastrophes,…?

I think it is a big problem, everybody should be concerned, surfer or not a surfer, in some countries we see rivers with polluted water which pours directly in the sea and some people really don't care about that..but for us surfers, we are really concerned because the ocean is the place where we spend most time and we cannot take advantage any more of this passion

What would you do in 10 years: still surfing contests or becoming freesurfer?

I don’t know for the moment i'm 20 years old and I really want to do well in the contest because I like competing. but maybe  after 10 years of competing, I would prefer to make free surf and surf some perfect waves

What could be your “dream day”?

Be in reunion island, wake up early morning ,surf all day with my friends eat creole food and drink beers at the sunset…

How are you dealing with the stress & the pressure during the contests?

That depends how I feel physically, sometimes it is good to have little pressure that pushes me to give my best..but to much pressure is hard….when i feel really stressed i chat to my friends and they help me to feel better…

One last advice for young surfers…

Ithink the most important thing is to have fun, enjoy life…To work hard in school because we never know what life can bring …GO BIG AND KEEP RIDING
