In the mass-produced world of surf fins, Mitch Abshere set out to create a fin company that embodied the D.I.Y. ethos and individuality that is embodied in surf culture. The Captain Fin Company produces limited numbers of hand-foiled signature fins with art created and inspired by iconic surfers like Joel Tudor and Alex Knost. Vans is proud to present a creative collaboration in Fall 2009 between Joel, Alex, Vans and the Captain with inspiration lifted from their signature product.
